SiRF supports an IP business model for strategic partners and valued customers who drive high volume applications where smallest size, lowest power, and minimum solution cost are of paramount importance to achieving the end product requirements.  Both the SiRFstarII and the SiRFstarIII architecture are available as proven IP cores which can be integrated into the customer products to achieve the highest level of GPS integration while maintaining equivalent performance to the standard chipset products to the maximum extent possible. 
 
The typical IP solution consists of the digital baseband processor and memories as a synthesize gate level net list (hard macro), the GPS application software library (executable), and a stand alone GPS RFIC.  SiRF provides collaborative engineering design and support to integrate the digital baseband into the customer silicon as well as providing verification and validation tools and test bench.  SiRF can also provide custom software porting services to assist in the integration of the GPS navigation software onto the target customer platform and OS of choice.  Additionally, SiRF will provide RF subsystem and system level integration support to ensure that the customer integration of the GPS IP solution is successful, that compatibility and interoperability of the GPS and the other host platform functions is maintained,  and that optimal GPS performance is obtained.
