Panel Discussions
The Summit will commence with a luncheon on the St. Regis Ballroom, and continue with an afternoon of panel discussions. After the opening Keynote Address, attendees will be treated to a Fireside Chat between Kanwar Chadha, Founder, Member of the Board, and VP of Marketing of SiRF Technologies, and noted industry analyst Andrew Seybold. This Fireside Chat will focus on the vision of this new Location Summit and the future of the Location Ecosystem.
The afternoon will continue with a variety of panel discussions exploring every aspect of the Location Ecosystem. These panels will be held in question-and-answer format, and will include audience participation. Unlike typical conference-style panel discussions, these will delve deeply into the topics to be covered.

LBS and Convergence:
The Emergence of Locative Media
The Location Ecosystem supports all manner of devices, not just wireless phones. Standalone navigation systems and automobiles will all become wireless-enabled in the next few years. If the wireless LBS industry moves quickly, it can become the point of convergence for all manner of devices and become the intelligence powering a multitude of other devices.
Learn how the wireless LBS industry can position itself to take full advantage of the emerging opportunities. Convergence of voice and data services also requires knowing where users are. Are they at their office or their home, or are they on the road? LBS are the enabler to provide smart networks with the information they need about their customers’ locations to determine what service to deliver over what network.

This panel will start with traditional LBS applications such as navigation and map access, then explore what is coming and what platforms are available to expand the LBS opportunities. SiRF will discuss its SiRFstudio LBS developer platform, and the panel will explore how today’s applications will need to change to meet the requirements of the networks and their customers in the future.
