Kanwar Chadha is a Founder, Member Board of Directors and Vice President of Marketing at SiRF Technology, a market leader in innovative GPS enabled location technology for mobile consumer and mainstream commercial platforms. His responsibilities include establishing company’s vision, corporate strategies, marketing direction and strategic alliances. He has over 23 years of experience in various marketing and management positions. Prior to founding SiRF, he served as General Manager of the multimedia group and Director of Strategic Marketing at S3 Inc. where he led the development of innovative audio and video processing technologies. Before joining S3, Kanwar was the Chairman and co-founder of AQuesT, Inc., a developer of multimedia and 3D graphics acceleration products.  From 1983 to 1989, he was at Intel in various product-marketing positions including Product Line Manager for the i860 RISC processor and  floating point coprocessors.

Kanwar holds a BSEE from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi; an MS in CIS from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. He holds six patents in GPS-enabled location technology field.

Kanwar is well known for his visionary role in evangelizing benefits of location technology for mainstream applications. He has been an invited speaker at premier technology and location market conferences such as ION, ISSCC, NavSat, GPS Visionary Summit, Munich Satellite Navigation Summit, Location Intelligence and GPS-Wireless.
